Phyllis Povah was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Povah's career beginnings included film roles in the dramatic adaptation "The Women" (1939) with Norma Shearer and the comedy adaptation "Let's Face It" (1943) with Bob Hope. Povah then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in "Pat and Mike" (1952) with Spencer Tracy and the dramedy "The Marrying Kind" (1952) with Judy Holliday. Later in her career, Povah acted in "Happy Anniversary" (1959). Povah passed away in August 1975 at the age of 82.
